USA: White House quips about press room bomb threat

Secret service agents were forced to evacuate the White House press briefing room in the heart of Washington DC, Tuesday, following a bomb threat. Returning after journalists were evacuated to the building's South Court Auditorium and a search was made, with White House spokesperson Josh Earnest telling press that a telephonic bomb threat concerning the James S. Brady Briefing Room was called in to the DC Metropolitan Police Department. He went on to explain that after the secret services were alerted, armed secret service personnel swept the room quickly, ascertaining the call had been a false threat. US President Barack Obama and other White House officials did not leave the building during the evacuation.
