Turkey: BRICS leaders pose for joint photo in Antalya

Russian President Vladimir Putin joined fellow BRICS leaders Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, South African President Jacob Zuma and Chinese President Xi Jinping, for a commemorative joint photo in Antalya, Sunday, ahead of an informal BRICS meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit. Leaders of the Group of Twenty (G20) are due to gather in Antalya from Sunday, November 15, to Monday, November 16, to discuss global economy issues and ways to boost global growth. The refugee crisis and the fight against the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) are also expected to be on the agenda. The G20 is an international forum where governments and central bank governors from 20 major economies give their opinions on the global situation. Members include 19 individual countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States, along with the European Union (EU).
