SOT, Yalcin Gokman, Resident of Sevrice (Turkish): "We are right now in the Sivrice district of Elazig Province. There was an earthquake with about 6.8 magnitude. There was no loss of life or property during the earthquake, but we know there are some issues in the centre of Elazig and in some central villages of Sivrice. Right now people are nervous, the issue is we cannot go back into the houses. As you can see there are tents set up, everyone erected tents in front of their house and are setting up heating stoves. We are right now waiting in unease for the aftershocks of the earthquake to pass. If authorities show the necessary devotion, if they answer to these people's needs - because people cannot go home to cook. If they provide food, take care of their needs - because there are still people who cannot get tents. If they meet their needs, we will be happier, it will be even better."

SOT, Kadir Gokma, Resident of Sevrice: "My aunt is [living] in this home. But they are going to Diyarbakir after the earthquake, because this room is very crushed, and they have gone to Diyarbakir. Now [the] earthquake [has] started, but not finished."

Humanitarian aid efforts continued as residents took stock of the damage inflicted by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake that devastated the town of Sevrice in the Elazig province, footage filmed on Sunday shows.
Aid workers and army personnel could be seen dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake that devastated homes and the town mosque.
Residents "are right now waiting in unease for the aftershocks of the earthquake to pass," according Yalcin Gokman, who also added that the advice from authorities was not to return home due to continuing aftershocks. Temporary shelter in the form of tents were set up for survivors, as aid workers delivered food.
At least 35 people were killed and more than a thousand injured in the quake which was also felt in Syria, Lebanon and Iran.
