Demonstrators marched on the 'National Day of Mourning' in Washington DC on Thursday, as protests over the killing of George Floyd continue to sweep the US.
Activists leading the rally said out loud the names of black people died at the hands of police forces, with protesters shouting 'Black lives matter' at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and 'Don't shoot' in front of the US Capitol.
Earlier in the day, a memorial service was held in Minneapolis to pay tribute to the 46-year old black man, who died after an officer pressed his knee to his neck for nearly 9 minutes.
On Wednesday, former officer Derek Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder, while the three other former policemen involved in the case were charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
