United Church of Christ Divests From Companies in Occupied Palestine

The United Church of Christ voted to divest from companies with business in occupied Palestinian lands.
The denomination's General Synod endorsed the action during it's meeting in Cleveland.
The vote tallied 508-124 with 38 abstentions.
The decision marks another sign of a growing Religious protest movement in the US against Israeli's occupation of Palestinian territory.
Last year, the Presbyterian Church voted to sell stock in a few companies whose products are used by Israel in the territories.
