Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced in Kiev on Wednesday that he considers the deployment of an international peacekeeping mission in Ukraine as the most efficient way of de-escalating the crisis in Donbass. Speaking at a joint press conference after talks with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, Poroshenko noted that the process of the peacekeepers' deployment will be held in two stages: the first stage includes preparing a resolution on the UN Security Council and the second - preparing the troops for deployment from the conflict zone. Ukrainian Head of State stressed that the question of peacekeepers deployment would be at the top of the agenda at the next ministerial meeting in the Normandy format. Also the Ukrainian President said he had discussed with his Polish counterpart ways boosting bilateral co-operation between the two countries, especially in military and security spheres. Poroshenko hailed Warsaw's decision to provide Kiev a loan of 100 million euros ($107 million USD), to implement reforms in the Ukrainian energy sector and improve border facilities on the boundaries with Russia and Poland.
