Venezuela: Drone footage shows town’s ruins emerged from flood water after 32 years

Drone footage shot on Saturday, captured the ruins of Potosi, an abandoned town in Tachira state, the area became exposed after a severe drought caused the Uribante River’s waters to rescind.
Although many of the buildings have been washed away due to previous floods, the framework of the San Isidro Labrador church, with its 26 metres (85 feet) spire, is still visible.
The town was abandoned by its inhabitants in 1984, when the valley was flooded for the construction of the hydroelectric Uribante Caparo dam.
