GoFundMe Stops Donations for Cops Charged in Freddie Gray's Death

The six police officers charged in connection to the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore won't be getting GoFundMe's support. The crowdfunding site suspended an account started by the Baltimore Police Union, which attempted to raise money for the officers' legal defense. In a press conference on Friday, Baltimore's top prosecutor Marilyn Mosby announced criminal charges against all six officers involved in Gray's arrest. They included included false imprisonment, assault and involuntary manslaughter. According to Gawker, GoFundMe pulled the police union's donation campaign within 40 minutes of its launch. GoFundMe spokesperson Kelsea Little issued a statement on Saturday, explaining that the campaign violated GoFundMe's terms.
