Russia: Sukhoi T-50 fighter jets thunder through the skies at MAKS

MAKS-2017 kept the momentum going well into the last day of the air show at Zhukovski in the Moscow region, Sunday.
The event featured captivating performances by aerobatics teams, among them the Chelavia Team, Falcons Of Russia and Swifts. Air squads demonstrated loops, Split-S, dives, rolls and Immelmann turns to a rousing ovation from the hundreds of spectators.
The visitors also saw two T-50s fighter jets flying alongside two other cutting-edge military aircraft – the Sukhoi Su-34 and Su-35. While Su-34 and Su-35 are in use by the Russian Air Force, 12 new T-50s jets are expected to join the Russian air arm by 2019.
The MAKS Air Show, organised by both the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Rostec State Corporation, exhibits the latest in aerospace and defence technology from enterprises representing 30 countries. The show started on July 18 and will wrap up on Sunday.
