Brazil: Patriarch Kirill meets with Pres. Rousseff on Latin American tour

Leader of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill commenced his three-day visit to Brazil by meeting Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff at the Alvorada Palace in Brasilia on Friday.
The two exchanged gifts during their meeting as the Patriarch of Moscow and all Rus' was led around the president’s residency by the Brazilian leader.
Aside from his meeting with Rousseff, the Patriarch’s agenda includes visiting the Christ the Redeemer monument in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday and presiding over a liturgy in the Cathedral of St. Paul the Apostle of the Patriarchate of Antioch on Sunday.
Brazil is the last country on Patriarch Kirill’s Latin American trip after visiting Cuba, Paraguay and taking a short trip to Antarctica.
