Toyota unveiled their new 'KIKAI' concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show 2015 in the Tokyo Big Sight exhibition centre, Wednesday. The creators of the KIKAI aimed to highlight the mechanical components of the car which are usually hidden out of sight. The complex suspension system, fuel tank, braking systems and engine are all visible, giving onlookers and drivers a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of the car. Discussing the concept behind the KIKAI, Kazuo Suyama, the assistant manager of Toyota's MIRAI Project Department, said: "In the world we live in, information is cloud-based, and physical objects are in a black box, which makes it difficult to get the feel for life - like reality and a physical feel for life is not easily felt. So, that makes it more special to know what objects are really like." The 44th Tokyo Motor Show runs from October 28 until November 8 and features a total of 160 exhibitors from 11 countries. The theme of this year's event is 'Your heart will race,' and attendees can expect to see up to 76 world premieres at the show.
