Violence broke out as thousands of protesters rallied in Rosario against gender violence, femicide and to advocate abortion rights, on Sunday. Police fired rubber bullets, teargas and charged protesters at the conclusion of the peaceful march.
Participants chanted slogans and carried placards demanding the protection of victims of violence, the implementation of free legal aid, the denunciation of violence against gender diversities and trafficking, as well as legal and free abortions.
Christian pro-life groups were present on the periphery of march, where they came into conflict with the protesters.
