Officers from the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria delivered humanitarian aid packages to civilians in the village of Saidiya, in the north of the Manbij area, as shown in video released on Tuesday.
"We prepared 500 humanitarian food packages for today's event which include tinned meat, sugar, flour, rice and tea, as well as a total of 300 warm blankets for children which are very important during cold seasons. And, of course, we brought bread to the local people,” Pavel Matreninsky, representative of the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria, said.
Matreninsky also said that it is the second such operation to be held in the last three days.
Russian Military Police began patrolling the Manbij area in the Syrian province of Aleppo near the Turkish border on 7 January.
