Russia: Waltzing revellers dance the night away at Moscow's Vienna Ball

Around 2,000 participants took part in the XIV Vienna Ball held at the Gostiny Dvor building in Moscow on Saturday evening.
The event opened with 120 pairs of debutants taking to the dance floor, including revellers from Austria, Great Britain and the US.
The dance program was accompanied by the Moscow City Symphony Orchestra -Russian Philharmonic, led by famed Austrian conductor Peter Guth.
The Vienna Ball has been held in Moscow annually since 2003 under the patronage of the governments of Russia and Austria.
Ambassador of Austria to Russia Emil Brix was one of the ball’s high profile guests, with the diplomatic stressing the importance of the event in promoting cultural ties and friendship between the two countries.
