SOT, Gabriela Griofol, Catalonia's Journalist Union member (Spanish): "We have made a manifesto with all the entities of the sector to denounce the aggressions that journalists have suffered in the demonstrations after the sentencing of politicians [pro-independece leaders]. We have found that there have been 65 attacks, 73% of them were by the police forces and these 65 attacks violate the right to inform." *LOOSE TRANSLATION*

Journalists attended a demonstration in the centre of Barcelona on Tuesday, protesting against violence suffered during recent pro-independence demonstrations.
Footage shows journalists wearing press vests and helmets, raising their cameras and holding banners.
"We have found that there have been 65 attacks, 73% of them were by the police forces and these 65 attacks violate the right to inform," said member of Catalonia's Journalist Union, Gabriela Griofol.
Protests and civil unrest have rocked Catalonia since the Spanish Supreme Court sentenced nine pro-independence leaders to up to 13 years in prison for their role in the region's 2017 bid for secession.
