Dozens of taxi drivers took to Uber’s San Francisco headquarters Monday afternoon as 300 mayors from across the country visited the ride-sharing giant. With the U.S. Conference of Mayors taking place in the city, San Francisco Taxi Workers Alliance used the opportunity to protest as part of the ongoing dispute between taxi drivers and ride-sharing companies. Among the problems the union cites is lowering taxi driver wages, causing congestion in towns, and a lack of disability access and unreliability in comparison to traditional cabs. The taxi drivers demand that Uber should be under the same regulations as their companies are.
