Despite Public Backlash Smithsonian Keeps Cosby Exhibit

As of Wednesday the Smithsonian Institution has received 35 emails in July alone calling for the museum to remove Bill Cosby's art collection on display.
The comedian is hosting an exhibition of his art collection at the National Museum of African Art.
The exhibit is called, "Conversations".
Cosby's art is scheduled to remain on display through January.
Despite the public backlash towards Cosby, the Smithsonian has chosen to preserve the exhibit as scheduled.
A statement from the museum mimicked the rational by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for preserving the actor's Walk of Fame star.
The statement reads that the exhibit is fundamentally about the artworks and their artists, not the owners of the collection.
