SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President (Turkish): "It seems there is no problem with the Russia visit, most likely it is going to happen. The trip to the United States is an issue we will evaluate after discussions with the delegations that are coming here. Because these discussions, deliberations, talks in Congress... these evaluations made about myself, my family, my minister friends, are very disrespectful to the Turkish Republic. It's as if they do not know our place. Therefore, when faced with a situation like this, of course there's nothing more natural than an evaluation [of the trip]. We'll evaluate and then make a decision."
Journalist (Turkish): "There was supposed to be a meeting with the [US] delegation?"
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President (Turkish): "Right now, I — it is out of the question for me to meet with anyone other than [US Vice President Mike] Pence or [US Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo."

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told journalists in Ankara, on Wednesday, that it was "out of the question" to meet any diplomats other than US Vice President Mike Pence or US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who are due to arrive in the Turkish capital to negotiate a ceasefire in northeast Syria.
"It is out of the question for me to meet with anyone other than [US Vice President Mike] Pence or [US Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo," said Erdogan.
The Turkish leader said he had "no problem" with a trip to Russia, adding, "most likely it is going to happen."
Erdogan also said that a decision on whether to make his scheduled trip to the United States on November 13 was still being evaluated after calls within the US Congress to sanction Turkey over Ankara's military operation in Syria.
