Artist Sought for Tagging Buildings Expected to Turn Self in

A spokesman for Detroit's mayor says prominent graffiti artist Shepard Fairey is expected to turn himself in after being accused of tagging buildings in Detroit. John Roach tells The Associated Press in an email the city's law department has been in touch with a representative for Faire. He faces a warrant for malicious destruction of property. Roach says Fairey is expected to turn himself in Tuesday, but didn't provide details. Last week, a Detroit law department official said Fairey was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport and later released. Police say about $9,000 in damage was done to other structures while Fairey was in Detroit to complete commissioned works, including a large mural
