UK Marathon Will Award £50,000 for a Selfie With the Loch Ness Monster

Runners in the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon, an annual race held in the Scottish Highlands, will have the chance to win 50,000 pounds if they can produce photographic evidence of the legendary marine reptile.
Runners need only snap a selfie with the monster in view and submit it to the organizers, who will work with the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland to determine its authenticity.
More than 9,000 participants are expected to run in the marathon on Sept. 27, and race director Malcolm Sutherland felt this would be a great chance for runners to keep an eye out.
Loch Ness Monster sightings dried up between 2012 and 2014, leading to speculation that the ancient reptile had disappeared for good.
But Nessy sightings picked up again last spring after an Apple Maps satellite image appeared to show a large creature swimming in Loch Ness.
