At least 13 people were killed, including three children, after a mini-truck carrying a marriage party collided with an oncoming bus near Kandukur in the south-eastern state of Andhra Pradesh, Saturday. A further 10 were injured in the crash. Following the crash, the bus caught fire, with the victims' bodies left lying by the road before they were removed. The bus driver and his assistant fled from the crash site as their vehicle was reportedly travelling on the wrong side of the road when it hit the mini-truck, which had 40 passengers on board. Local Police Inspector Lakshman confirmed the number of deaths, with the injured reportedly taken to a hospital in Ongole. There were no passengers in the bus.
