It’s been 50 years since astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first stepped on the surface of the Moon, at 02:56 GMT on July 21, 1969.
In the historic footage, the men are seen walking around the lunar lander, planting a US flag and Armstrong utters the now iconic phrase, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
The Apollo 11 team set off on July 16, 1969 for its eight-day mission to the moon. The team returned to earth on July 24, landing in the North Pacific Ocean.
