Servicemen of the Russian Centre for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties distributed humanitarian aid at the Syrian village of Maardis in the province of Hama, Friday.
A local resident said, "We have big problems with water, water pipes, roads, there is no electricity. The whole village is destroyed; it is very difficult with food. Thank you very much for your help and support."
According to the centre, over 800 packages of food were given to residents of Maardis. As part of the humanitarian aid, Russian doctors also provided medical help to those in need.
A large part of Maardis' infrastructure has been destroyed during the Syrian conflict, including its medical centre.
