Russia: Syria airstrikes sees 9 targets hit in 25 flights by Air Force

Russia Defence Ministry spokesperson Major-General Igor Konashenkov confirmed that nine so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) targets were hit in Syria in the last 24 hours, at a news briefing in Moscow on Monday. Konashenkov stated that "25 flights by Su-34, Su-24M, and Su-25 were launched from Hmeymim base". Those sorties and "subsequent airstrikes hit nine objects of ISIS militant group," and according to the general, "led to the total destruction of these targets." Among the targets that were hit were arm depots, communication centres, a control station, transport and logistic hubs as well as a concentration of armour.
