The European Council building in Brussels was on police lockdown, Tuesday night, after a bomb scare was called in as a major summit between world leaders takes place at the site. Cars were blocked in the European quarter after the bomb scare, with police cutting off traffic between the EU's Commission and Council buildings and the tunnels underneath Schuman. Several closures were also made throughout Brussels' metro system. An investigation later proved that the bomb threat was a false alarm. Leaders from Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean are set to gather for the EU-CELAC Summit in the building for the second day tomorrow, a conference held to strengthen relations between both regions every two years.
