Властите разпръснаха протрестиращи със сълзотворен газ

Riot police deployed water cannons and tear gas to disperse hundreds of protesters who were marching through Istanbul on Saturday to demand the release of journalists and editors of the Cumhuriyet newspaper.
The protesters were making their way to the Cumhuriyet offices when they were impeded by numerous police officers.
The march started mere hours after the Turkish authorities had ordered the arrest of nine Cumhuriyet staff and detained pro-Kurdish officials. At least ten demonstrators in Ankara and five in Antalya were also detained, Al Bawaba news reported, citing Turkish officials.
