The media on Thursday got a guided tour of St. Petersburg's 69,500 seater 'New Zenit Stadium' which is set to host 2018 World Cup matches. Construction of the arena started back in 2006 and was financed from the budget of St. Petersburg. It is expected to be completed by May 2016. The exact naming of the stadium is still unknown, with three options being explored: 'Krestovskiy', 'the Petersburg Arena' or 'the New Zenit Arena.' The arena will be one of the most expensive stadiums in the world, with the final bill estimated to be around $1.1 to $1.6 billion (€1 to €1.45 billion).
