Russia: Putin meets Russian Security Council ahead of NATO summit

Russian President Vladimir met with the permanent members of Russia's Security Council on Tuesday in Moscow, to discuss security measures amid heightening tensions with NATO.
Cooperation between Russia and NATO was top of the agenda ahead of the NATO Summit in Warsaw, which begins on July 8. Questions raised in the discussions between the Russian and Finnish leaders in Naantali, Finland, July 1, were also addressed, along with the Syrian crisis and doping issues in Russian sport.
Among those in attendance were Russia's Prime Minister, Dmitri Medvedev, Federation Council Chairwoman, Valentina Matvienko, and the Head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Ivanov.
