Around 1,000 protesters marched on Minsk's Independent Prospect street, Saturday, in an unauthorised demonstration against the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. The protesters chanted "Glory to Belarus" while marching from Liberty Square to Yakuba Kolasa Square. Protesters waved the Belarusian and European Union flags during the march The rally took place after 2010 opposition presidential candidates Vladimir Nyaklyaev and Mikola Statkevich called on their supporters to march against the current authorities. Police did not intervene in the march.
