Georgia: Traffic mayhem in Tbilisi following deadly flooding

Tbilisi was gripped by heavy traffic on Tuesday after heavy flooding from the Vere River devastated parts of the city on Sunday, leaving a path of destruction and mountains of mud on the city's streets. At least 19 people died, according to the state authorities, in the floods and several buildings across the capital have been badly damaged, including 40 family homes. Several wild animals - including tigers, lions and baboons - managed to escape their enclosure's in the capital's zoo. All of the lions and tigers missing from Tbilisi zoo have been found dead. They died either from flooding or gunshots. One Jaguar remains missing, however, zookeepers doubt it survived the floods. Six Georgians remain missing with search and rescue operations ongoing.
