As Greece's IMF deadline looms ever-closer, Westphalian entrepreneur Uwe Dalhoff decided to bank on the possibility of Greece leaving the EU by marketing a new alcoholic beverage, aptly named 'Grexit', in Hamm, Monday. The vodka-lemon drink, whose label features Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis clinking bottles, is set to hit the German market within the next two weeks. Dahlhoff patented the word 'Grexit' at the beginning of 2015 as he was counting on Greece leaving the European Union. Initially he wanted to wait for the actual 'Grexit' before launching the drinks - available as vodka-lemon mix or as an energy drink - but due to growing public interest, he has decided to launch them earlier. Dahlhoff stressed that the drink's name is satirical and that he has no intention of offending anyone, stating that he wants to raise awareness and prompt a wider discussion surrounding the developments within the European Union. Dahlhoff pointed out that he does not consider the Greek people responsible for the economic crisis in their country, and went on to admit that he is in fact a fan of the new Greek government.
