Thousands of protesters gathered at Syntagma Square in front of the Greek parliament, in Athens, Wednesday, to rally against austerity. The protesters, mainly members of political party Syriza, but also supporters from abroad such as German party Die Linke, held banners with messages like 'European people all together' and 'democracy for Europe.' The protest comes as Greece gets ever-closer to a eurozone exit. The southern European country has just 13 days before its bail-out programme expires at the end of June.
