Argentine footballer Lionel Messi praised the freshly renovated Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, following a friendly match against Russia on Saturday.
"This is a good stadium, like all new modern stadiums which are built now. Great stadium to play in," said Messi.
Commenting on his team's performance, Messi said, "Second half was a bit worse, we possessed the ball less than in the first half. We were attacked more. It was hard to play."
Argentina managed to beat their hosts 1-0, with a goal from Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero in the dying moments of the fixture.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup it is scheduled to take place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July, 2018. A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities across Russia, with the final being expected to take place at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
