SOT, Geng Shuang, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Mandarin): "The censure that the US made on relevant Chinese officials is contrary to the fact. China already made stern representations with the US. We strongly urge the US to correct its mistakes and withdraw the relevant decision and to protect the rights of Chinese diplomacies according to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. We would like to remind the US that countries offer the safeguard and convenience based on the mutual respects of the Vienna Convention on diplomacy."

SOT, Geng Shuang, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Mandarin): "I want to point out that the [United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change] meeting still approves over 300 resolutions on the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, even with the US' withdrawing from The Paris Agreement, including Chile Madrid Time for Action reflecting the consensuses within the members and multilateralism. Also, we made the constructional plan for implementing the 6th term of the Paris Agreement. China thinks the results from the meeting don't perfectly match the expectation of the international community but it lays the foundation for further agreements."

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said that China made stern representations with the United States over their expulsion of "relevant" Chinese officials at a daily briefing in Beijing on Monday.
"We strongly urge the US to correct its mistakes and withdraw the relevant decision and to protect the rights of Chinese diplomacies according to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. We would like to remind the US that countries offer the safeguard and convenience based on the mutual respects of the Vienna Convention on diplomacy," Geng said.
Two Chinese officials from the Chinese embassy to the US were expelled in a covert action on Sunday after they drove onto a Virginia military base this autumn, breaching security.
On the UN Climate Summit (COP25) Geng said that "China thinks the results from the meeting don't perfectly match the expectation of the international society but it lays the foundation for further agreements."
