A crowd estimated at 1 million people in Oakland celebrated the NBA champion Golden State Warriors at a parade and rally on Friday.
During the celebration, MVP Stephen Curry told the crowd when he was drafted six years ago he could walk around without being recognized.
Now Curry has become a household name especially in Oakland where people marched to Lake Merritt, near Oakland's downtown where they listened to team members speak.
The street party came three days after the Warriors won the National Basketball Association title four games to two over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Warriors, who are NBA champions for the first time since 1975, rode through downtown Oakland streets before onlookers 25 rows deep.
