Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu denied having given US officials any audio recordings in relation to Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi's disappearance, speaking from Tirana on Friday.
"We have read an article saying that Trump has requested audio recordings from Turkey. Turkey has not given any audio recording; neither to Pompeo, nor to any other US officials," he said.
Cavusoglu also added that Turkey would transparently "share with the world" the findings of the ongoing investigation.
Khashoggi had gone to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2, to prepare documents for his upcoming marriage but has not been seen since. His fiancee claims to have waited outside for 11 hours but says he did not return. Saudi authorities maintain that Khashoggi left the building on the same afternoon as his visit.
