Activists unveiled statues of famed US intelligence and military document whistle-blowers Edward Snowden, Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning at Alexanderplatz in central Berlin, Friday, entitled “Anything to say?” The unveiling of the sculptures to the three famed leakers was attended by several speakers including UK MI5 agent-turned-whistle-blower Annie Machon, who slammed the treatment of those bringing light to government secrets. Machon mentioned her own experience of having to ‘live in exile’ after leaking information about an alleged British secret services plot to assassinate former Libyan leader Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi in 1996. Davide Dormino, an Italian sculptor, and Charles Glass, an American designer created the project.
