Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) response teams continued to help Sakhalin and Amur recover from a cyclone which hit the far eastern region on Friday. At least 19 areas remain without power, although work to restore power supply to the Sakhalin region is being carried out around the clock and involves 45 units and 61 pieces of equipment. The powerful cyclone left more than 100,000 residents without power; and damaged 821 houses and felled 870 trees.
