Two people were wounded after shells struck buildings in Oktyabrsky near Donetsk, Sunday. A 14-year-old girl was concussed and another woman injured her hand in the shelling, according to the local Emergency Ministry. A local resident, who did not give her name, said she had to run away from her house otherwise she would be "suffocated." Artillery attacks have been ramped up in and around Donetsk following an announcement that the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR/LNR) planned to carry out a unilateral withdrawal of weapons of less than 100mm calibre from the lines of engagement in Ukraine. The DNR militias began carrying out the withdrawal at the frontline of the conflict in Donetsk, on July 19, under supervision of the OSCE, in a bid to implement Minsk agreement protocols. Following the announcement, forces loyal to Kiev reportedly carried out a large shelling attack on the city of Donetsk.
