Japanese engineering firm Aspark unveiled their all-electric battery-powered sports hypercar model 'Owl' at the Dubai International Motor Show on Tuesday, claiming a world-beating performance with a top speed of 400 kmph (249 mph).
"I tried to make the fastest car," Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said, adding "there are 60 miles power, the time is 1.69 seconds and the range is 450km and the top speed is 400 km per hour."
Aspark plans to make just 50 examples of the Owl model at a price of €2.9 million ($3.2 million) with deliveries to start in the second quarter of 2020.
This year's event marks the 15th year of the Dubai International Motor Show, which dubs itself the largest international automotive event across the Middle East and North Africa.
