Clashes erupted between police and activists holding a peaceful rally mourning those who died in Saturday's bombings in Ankara, Tuesday. At least 97 people were killed and more than 245 left injured after two explosions rocked Ankara on Saturday morning. The blasts rocked the area near Ankara Central railway station, Turkey's busiest train hub. The bombs targeted the venue of the 'Labour, Peace, Democracy' rally, which was scheduled to begin at 10:00 local time (0700 GMT). The rally was planned by Turkey's biggest trade union in protest against the Turkish government's policy towards the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
