Mayor of London Boris Johnson addressed the media outside his London home on Sunday about reaching his decision to campaign for Brexit.
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Cameron flew back from Brussels on Friday night after striking a deal with top EU officials on the UK's EU status. However, in Johnson's opinion, the deal that Cameron achieved in Brussels did not amount to "fundamental reform of the EU or of Britain's relationships with the EU."
Although not explicitly affiliating himself with the 'Vote Leave' campaign, Johnson did say he would be "advocating" them. He went on saying, "I would like to see a new relationship based more on trade, on cooperation but with much less of this supranational element." Johnson maintains that he wants a "better deal" for the British people.
Six cabinet ministers, including Michael Gove and Iain Duncan Smith, have also already advocated the Brexit campaign and have pledged allegiance to Vote Leave.
