Two groups of protesters gathered near the Verkhovna Rada in Kiev demanding the Ukrainian government liberate soldiers reportedly captured in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR/DNR) and signing into law the restructuring of foreign currency consumer loans, Tuesday. The first protest was organised by the soldiers' mothers. At least 50 women held portraits of their sons and banners reading "Dear President, bring children back home!" Women came from different cities of Ukraine demanding assistance in the release of 25 soldiers and four civilians who were reportedly captured in Donetsk. At least 200 people took part in another rally near Rada. Protesters held flags reading "Financial Maidan," demanding the restructuring of the currency credits, which was supported by the Ukrainian parliament on July 2 but has not been signed yet.
