While iOS 9 doesn't have as many blockbuster new features as iOS 8, improving its voice assistant's abilities was clearly one of the tech company's biggest priorities with the release.
Siri, and iOS's new Siri-powered searching abilities, took center stage during much of the iOS portion of Monday's keynote at Apple's World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco — not to mention the end, when we saw its integration with Apple Music. During the keynote, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi, introduced a suite of new Siri-centric features coming to iOS 9. These included proactive assistance, context-aware abilities and smarter, more powerful search tools throughout iOS.
