Slovakia: Night Wolves' 'Ride of Peace' challenges US' 'Dragoon Crossing'

19.09.2015
About 50 Night Wolves bikers made a stop at the town of Poprad on Saturday during their one-day ride through Slovakia, which was labelled "Ride of Peace," in support of a peaceful protest against the US army convoys which crossed Slovakia a few days ago. The bikers visited the WWII memorials of the Russian Red Army and the others soldiers killed while liberating Czechoslovakia from Nazi occupation. They also paid tribute to those who fell during the Slovak national uprising against the German occupiers in Poprad. The Night Wolves continued their journey to their last stop, the Slavin memorial in Bratislava. Night Wolves are Russian motorbikers who occasionally cross over to Europe to express their discontent with NATO and USA policies. Their supporters in Slovakia, Charta 2015 initiative, are showing their sympathies for Russia and are convinced that the next war will come soon, with the 'imperialistic policy of US'A and other world powers. They demand an end to Slovakia's membership of NATO.
