US President-elect Donald Trump laid out his economic and foreign policy plans during his victory speech at New York's Midtown Hilton Hotel, on Wednesday morning. Trump was speaking after Democratic rival Hillary Clinton called him to concede defeat.
The President-elect vowed to put "millions of Americans to work," through large-scale infrastructure renewal. Continuing, Trump stated the US will "double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world.
On foreign policy, the real estate mogul turned politician said "we will get along with all other nations," before adding "We will have great relationships. We expect to have great, great relationships."
On his country's future Trump declared "We must reclaim our country's destiny and dream big and bold and daring," continuing "We're going to dream of things for our country, and beautiful things and successful things once again."
Trump is set to become the 45th US President. Voter tallies and projections gave Trump the victory, beating his rival Democratic Candidate Hillary Clinton by 278 to 218 Electoral College votes, primarily thanks to his victory in swing states including Florida, Ohio and North Carolina.
