Протестиращите против отвличанията на студенти в Мексико блокираха полицаите в тунел

Students and teachers demonstrating over the September 2014 Iguala kidnapping, clashed with police around a highway tunnel outside of Tixtla, Guerrero, Wednesday. Police officers were stranded in the tunnel when protesters blocked each entrance, hurling barrages of rocks and other projectiles, injuring 4 officers in the process. Police responded with teargas and rubber bullets. The demonstrators were from the Ayotzinapa teacher training college where 43 students disappeared from in September 2014. The students were attending a teacher training college known in Mexico's southwestern Guerrero state when they went missing. An independent investigation released in December 2014 stated that the Federal Police were involved in the disappearances, handing the students over to local gang members. The allegations of political and police corruption have led to mass protests throughout the country.
