French police arrested 18 protesters while evicting demonstrators at the La Jonquera border point between Spain and France on Tuesday, after demonstrators blocked the motorway between Spain and France the day before.
Footage shows French police leading demonstrators away from the border point. Footage also shows Catalan autonomous police proceeding to physically move protesters from the AP7 motorway.
The protest was reportedly organised by the Democratic Tsunami activist group, which campaigns for Catalan independence.
The autonomous region has been in the grip of mass protests since mid-October after a court handed lengthy prison sentences to Catalan politicians.
