Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel mysteriously deleted all of his tweets on Tuesday in a move that's oh so very Snapchat. After posting a wacky video detailing why kids love Snapchat and the fleeting nature of photos, Spiegel wiped his Twitter account's tweets clean. Although the account is still activated, it's unclear if he's taking time off from the platform or plans to return in the future. The deletion is certainly a nod toward Snapchat's core model, which allows users to share photos and videos with friends before they disappear. In a statement sent to CNBC's Eli Langer, a company spokesperson commented on Spiegel's decision to delete his tweets: "Evan has a penchant for living in the present :)". According to a screen grab of Spiegel's Twitter account posted to Internet archive site The Way Back Machine from earlier this month, he had nearly 900 tweets. As of Tuesday afternoon, all were removed except for one retweet.
