German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel gave a statement to the press following his meeting with Russian Minister for Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev, in Berlin, Friday.
Summarising the topics of their meeting, Gabriel stated that they dealt with the question of sanctions imposed on Russia and about finding "the fields that are not affected by the sanctions."
Furthermore, Gabriel told the press, that there are "companies who are not sure about how the relationship between Europe, Germany and Russia will develop," adding that "at the end of the day, the way to a better investment climate, can only be one, not only that conditions of the Minsk agreement are kept, but most importantly, that we can reach a greater willingness to cooperate in solving the questions in Syria."
"Naturally, every bomb that falls there, which is attributed to the Russian intervention, only adds to the uncertainty of German investors over the future of the German-Russian relationship," he said.
